Mining PDU

PDU plays a crucial role In bitcoin mining sites, as the core infrastructure for power distribution and management, ensuring stable and efficient operation of mining machines.  ‌

PDU will receive high-power inputs from UPS (uninterruptible power supply) or mains power, distributed into multiple standard output sockets, providing centralized and reliable power supply for a large number of Bitcoin mining machines, and solving the power supply needs of densely deployed mining machine clusters.  ‌

Modern mining machines have extremely high power consumption, and PDU needs to have high current carrying capacity (such as 16A or higher). Mining sites often use intelligent PDU or combine them with mining machine firmware functions to dynamically adjust mining machine power consumption, avoid tripping due to overload, and ensure stable operation of mining machines at full load.

Intelligent PDU can monitor the current, voltage, power, and energy consumption of each socket in real time, helping mine operators:

By integrating DCIM (Data Center Infrastructure Management) platform, PDU provides accurate power data to assist mining sites in capacity planning, equipment maintenance, and cost accounting, achieving refined operations.

As a rack mounted intelligent power distribution unit, it achieves remote monitoring and control of subordinate devices through the network. Its core functions include real-time monitoring of parameters such as voltage, current, power, temperature and humidity, support for remote switching and device restart, and have safety mechanisms such as overload protection and alarm linkage. In mining sites, intelligent PDUs can be used to centrally manage the power supply of multiple mining machines, achieve energy consumption visualization, fault warning, and automated operation and maintenance, especially suitable for large mining sites that require unified scheduling and environmental awareness.
